LOLA Foundation is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization

OUR MISSION

LOLA Foundation's mission is to enhance the lives of individuals and families impacted by Autism.

We endeavor to assist those affected by Autism and their families, in the underserved community (particularly Vietnamese), in Orange County, CA, to bring awareness to those who are not familiar with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

Disabilities carry a stronger stigma in certain cultures and LOLA Foundation wishes to diminish this stigma. When a family feels shame and guilt for having a child with special needs, they may be hesitant to reach out for support or bring their child out into the community for fear of being ostracized or judged.

LOLA Foundation aims to break the stigma involved with raising a child with special needs as well as increase community support for these underserved families.

Please see the "Events" page for more details on how we plan to achieve our mission.

LOLA Foundation's main focus:

  • To increase Autism awareness in the underserved communities

  • Social outings, which can build social skills and self-esteem in ASD individuals as well as expand parents' support systems, and to provide opportunities for the community to engage with ASD individuals and families

  • To provide support for caregivers and siblings

  • To provide the community and families with resources regarding Autism Awareness and intervention

What they don't understand is with Autism, comes different ABILITIES"

LOLA stands for "Live Out Loud with Autism," and was founded by Linda Nguyen, a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst), who has worked with individuals and families impacted by Autism for 18 years. She witnessed the struggles and challenges that many of these families endure, as well as the cultural impacts of the underserved, Vietnamese population. This is where her dedication and passion was founded, in hopes to support these families.
